A Roundup of Photos from a Blissful Autumnal Week in New York
A little tired, a lot of sunshine
This weekend we’re planning to get some family photos for our Christmas card, an annual tradition that started the first year we got married (7 years ago). I’m SO excited for this year’s card because it’s our first time as a party of three!! Imagine!
Fall foliage is approaching peak and the color is nothing short of breathtaking, so we want it to serve as the backdrop this year. We’re not entirely sure where to take the photo, so we’ve been scouting spots in Central Park and the neighborhood for ideas.
We’re mostly sticking to our neighborhood these days because the baby is too young for the subway, thankfully there’s plenty to do near our apartment to keep us occupied. We plan to take her on her first ride after her 4 month vaccines, fingers crossed all goes well!
Until then, we’re revisiting favorite neighborhood haunts and stumbling upon new-to-us gems. Here’s a quick roundup of photos from a fun week!
Central Park is on constant rotation in our weekly plans
The best thing about living on the Upper West Side is having easy access to Central Park. We didn’t realize what an advantage that would be until we started establishing new routines after we moved to the area four years ago.
We quickly fell into the habit of starting every.single.day with a morning walk through the park, coffee in hand, because it set the right tone for the day. Now, four years later, we’re as smitten as ever, especially because the park provides a natural escape on the daily (vital with a newborn in tow). Better still, it’s absolutely gorgeous this time of year!
We’ve been spending lots of time at our local cafe
A new cafe opened in the neighborhood a few months before the baby was born. We stumbled upon it during a random morning walk and took note to return. We finally got a chance after one of her checkups and guess what!! We ended up sitting RIGHT NEXT TO JERRY SEINFELD and his wife! It was so cool!
Since then, we’ve returned 2-3 times a week. Not because of Jerry necessarily, but because the coffee is only $2.50 and the relaxed vibes remind us of Italy.

Little life updates:
I’m baking pumpkin pie and the baby is doing fine. Will is back home from a week-long work trip and it’s nice to have him home because the 7 week growth spurt did us dirty.
Things get a bit weird post-baby, don’t they? By nature I’m the independent sort, but these past few days I’ve been missing my mom! She visited for a week to help with the baby while Will was out of town and her departure felt premature to me. I don’t know how I feel about that yet.
Apart from that, it’s business as usual around here, cheers!
