From Breakfast Tacos to Award-Winning Cocktails: My Perfect Day in the East Village
What Time, Curiosity, and Countless Meals Have Taught Me About This Vibrant Corner of the City
When it comes to favorite NYC neighborhoods, the East Village cracks my top 3. Colorful and grungy, despite its popularity, it maintains an authenticity few NYC neighborhoods can match. The people-watching and restaurant options are endless!
Who this neighborhood is best for: Foodies and anyone who cast their first legal vote in the 2020 election (or, heck, anyone who just wants to feel 25 again). For reference, I always feel like the oldest person on the block when I visit, but the youthful energy is unbeatable.
Note to you, dear reader: If you’re adding the East Village to your itinerary while visiting NYC, let me know if you’d like recommendations based on your interests. That’s what I’m here for!
On that note, here’s exactly how I’d spend one full day in the East Village (with restaurant recommendations).
