Thursday Wrap (Sharing 10 Family Photos)

Because sometimes I take way too many photos (and it's nice to have an outlet).

Picnic with friends! We’ve had 9 picnics in Central Park so far this year, wonder what the tally will be by summer’s end. Hard to think of a better way to spend a sunny afternoon.

Lately, I’ve been thinking about how quickly this season of my life is moving. It’s hard to believe, but Caroline’s first birthday is only three months away! Before becoming a mom, I was constantly taking photos of the city (faces, corners, sidewalk scenes, anything that caught my eye). As an amateur photographer in New York, I’m truly spoiled for choice!

But in this more tender chapter, I’ve found it harder to make time for editing. It’s such a time-consuming endeavor. These days, I’ve noticed myself reaching for the camera more to capture personal moments with Will and Little C. rather than the city itself and I cherish these photos so much!

In many ways, New York City feels like a supporting character in our daily lives, so being able to freeze the ever-changing skyline during this chapter means a lot to me.

That said, I finally carved out time to clear my photo backlog and wanted to share a few personal favorites from my camera roll. I plan to include these in Little C’s photo book documenting her first year in the city.

Photos are my love language, so I wanted to share them with you too. I hope you enjoy!

My 10 Favorite Photos From May

Brought the picnic blanket to our favorite pizza joint (Roberta’s in Bushwick) to let C roll around a bit. The bee sting pie is a must order!
